1998 David Arthur Winery Cabernet Sauvignon

Although the 1998 vintage was a challenging year with wet, cool weather during the growing season, some producers, like David Arthur Winery, made some nice wines that can still be found for a bargain. The nose is very “old world” in its earthiness, the fruit very well integrated (more subtle blueberry and blackberry), perhaps a slight degradation in complexity, yet the tannins are still present and providing some nice grip. I really can’t file a complaint here – really nice, aged Cab that is still tasting well.
