Wow – this 2007 Cliff Lede High Fidelity is drinking amazing right now. A Bordeaux blend with traditional balance and aromatics, I was fortunate that they pried open their library wines when I visited in October 2021 and grabbed a few. Old world nose – right bank all day long. Dark cherry and blackberry, combined with some smoky, mushroom, leather and lead pencil notes, along with a hint of vanilla. Incredibly luxurious and fine, silky tannins in perfect balance with the acidity, provide some nice structure to the wine. Lingering finish that leaves your mouth watering for more. Literally no decanter time – drinking wonderfully right from the bottle to glass.
